We like to think of the summer as a time when we, as a nation, slow down and relax. Not this year, however, as economic, social, and political confusion seem to reign. Although the economy is doing extremely well, a majority of Americans believe economic conditions are poor. Temperatures are again setting record highs, yet there is escalating rhetoric against renewable energy and electric vehicles. While stock indices are at record highs, most stocks are not. And, as we are about to enter our hallowed ritual of peacefully voting to elect a president, 42% of young people believe that violence may be needed to get America back on track. In this missive, we will share some of our thoughts and try to make sense of where we are.
